These past few months of my life there has been so many ups and downs(which is why I've been so quiet on social media and with elair and I's art). This duration consisted of mostly downs sprinkled with very, very few ups. I somehow became so caught up in the low points in my life that I forgot about the things that actually make a life worth living. I was struggling with debt, struggling with addiction, struggling to be a good supporter of my other half and struggling to be the father I knew I needed to be for my son. At times I felt like just giving up would be the easiest thing for me to do, taking the easy way out.

I know at times all of us have thought like this. Life seems to remind us of the bad times constantly and for some reason you can't seem to think of anything that makes the struggle worthwhile. We have to constantly remind ourselves that popularity doesn't mean happiness, money doesn't buy happiness, neither does posession of material things. These things only create temporary happiness. We can't cover depression and anxiety with temporary masks like drugs and alcohol because these things seem to make everything worse once we become sober. We have to realize that just existing is a blessing in itself and being healthy is another. Waking up everyday and being able to go to work is a blessing. Being able to hug and kiss our loved ones is a blessing. Family is a blessing. Being able to create art is absolutely incredible. I'm blessed.

Remember the things that used to make you happy as a child, those days consisted of true happiness, even if your parents were living the struggle, us as children had no idea. We were happy to exist. We have to understand that WE are the only ones who can make us comfortable in this life. Nobody else can bring you happiness and joy until you yourself are happy with yourself and your actions.

The other morning while surfing through beats on the internet I came across this very one and it just hit me right in the feels, it's emotional. I realized all of the stuff that I do have and the life I do live is one that a lot of other people are envious of. I have to be content with what I do have but it's tough because my dreams are so collosal. I aspire to be up there with the greats, and even if I never make it, at least there will be evidence of me trying.

YOU are the only one who can make this life worth LIVING. NOW GO AND MAKE IT WORTH IT!
